Srinagar: Two youths were arrested in Pulwama district of south Kashmir under Public Safety Act (PSA) and shifted to Jammu, official sources said here on Saturday.
They said police arrested two youths Nasir Rashid, resident of Rajpora and Ashiq Hussain Dar resident of Rohmoo in south Kashmir district of Pulwama for their alleged anti-national activities about a fortnight ago.
Sources said both the youths were booked under PSA yesterday and shifted to Kotbalwal Jail, Jammu.
Dozens of leaders and activists of Jamaat-e-Islami (JeI), both the factions of the Hurriyat Conference (HC) and Jamait-ul-Ahalhadees (JUA) were arrested and later shifted to Jammu after booking them under PSA in the Kashmir valley.
Crack down on JeI, JUA and other started immediately after Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) fidayeen attack claimed lives of 44 CRPF personnel on February 14 at Awantipora in Pulwama district.
