Wreath laying ceremony for policemen killed in encounter held at DPL Handwara

Srinagar: A wreath laying ceremony was held today at District Police Lines, Handwara to pay honour and respect to Naseer Ahmad Kholi resident of Gund Gujran Karnah andΒ  Ghulam Mustafa Barah resident of Zachaldara Handwara, who were killed on Friday in an gunfight with militants at Handwara.

Officers led by IGP Kashmir Shri S. P. Pani-IPS laid floral wreaths on the mortal remains & paid rich tributes to the deceased for the supreme sacrifice made in the line of duty.

Among others who paid floral tributes to the martyrs include DIG NKR Mohammad Suleman Choudhary-IPS, SP Handwara Ashish Kumar Mishra-IPS,Β  Commander 7th Sector, CO CRPF and other officers and Jawans of the district.

Naseer Ahmad is survived by parents, wife, 2-year-old son and 4-year-old daughter. While Ghulam Mustafa left an aged mother, wife, two daughters and two sons.
