Stranded passengers protest in Jammu, baton-charged by police

Srinagar: Hundreds of Kashmiri passengers stranded in summer capital Jammu for last one week due to the closure of Srinagar-Jammu highway held protests against the administration for failing to provide any relief to them.

Reports reaching QNS said that the protestors raised slogans against the state administration for not providing any facilities to the stranded passengers. The passengers blocked the Canal road Jammu and demanded immediate airlifting.

Meanwhile police swung into action and baton-charged the passengers and barred them from protesting and blocking the road.
