Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) chairman Mohammad Yaseen Malik and seven other leaders of the front were released after a local court granted them interim bail on Wednesday.
The court of Additional Session Judge, Srinagar, today after hearing both sides granted bail to Malik and other seven front leaders chairman Mushtaq Ajmal, Muhammad Hanif Dar, Imtiyaz Ahmad Dar, Imtiyaz Ahmad Ganie, Shakir Ahmad Ahangar, Fayaz Ahmad and Basharat Ahmad.
Malik alongwith others was arrested on December 17 when they were holding protest against the civilian killings in security force action in Kashmir.
Thy were bailed out by a magistrate on December 18 but was rearrested again immediately. Later they were sent to seven days police remand.
However, today they have been released now, front spokesman said this evening.
