Srinagar: Militants on Tuesday night hurled a grenade at a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) camp in south Kashmir district of Pulwama.
A CRPF official told UNI that unidentified militants lobbed a grenade towards a CRPF camp, which houses 183 Battalion, at Newa area in Pulwama on Tuesday night.
However, he said the grenade missed the target and exploded outside the camp. βNo one was injured in the attack,β he said.
He said the CRPF jawans opened retaliatory fire though the militants managed to escape from the spot. βAdditional security forces have been rushed and a search operation has been launched to nab the attackers,β a police official said.
