Tral shuts against killing of JeM militant

Srinagar: A complete shutdown was on Saturday observed in Tral town and adjoining areas in south Kashmir district of Pulwama where a Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) was killed by security forces in an encounter on Friday.
Shops and business establishments remained closed and traffic was off the road in Tral and adjacent areas though there was no strike call by any organization. However, some private vehicles could be seen plying on some routes. Work in government offices and educational institutions was affected due to strike.
Additional security forces and state police personnel have been deployed to prevent any untoward incident. Mobile internet service remained suspended in the town since yesterday.
A JeM militant, resident of Pakistan, was killed in an encounter by security force yesterday when a Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir police constable was also injured.
