Srinagar: Former Chief Minister and Vice President of National Conference (NC) Omar Abdullah on Saturday said joining of militancy by Sharda University Kashmiri student Ehatsham Bilal Sofi was hugely worrying.
Referring to reports that Ehtasham was beaten up by some students in the university last week, Omar said sometime seemingly small actions have huge consequences.
Taking to micro-blogging site twitter Mr Omar said “ If this is genuine it’s hugely worrying. Sometimes seemingly small actions have huge consequences. If what happened to him at Sharda University has lead him to choose such a destructive path it’s even more tragic. One more life on the path to ruin & one more family in turmoil”.
Ehatsham, a first year student of graduation of Sharda University in Noida, went missing a few days back and his photographs with a weapon appeared in social media.
