Aden: The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has found that 16 million Yemenis lack access to safe drinking water and sanitation services.
On its official Twitter page, UNICEF explained that 16 million people in Yemen, more than half of them children, lack access to safe drinking water.
This number of Yemenis also lacks “sanitation services on a regular basis, and during this year it seeks to support projects for the restoration, rehabilitation and operation of local water institutions”.
The UN children’s agency noted that 5.5 million people “will have regular access to safe drinking water,” thanks to the projects to be implemented.
