Militants attack Army vehicle in south Kashmir’s Shopian

Srinagar: Militants attacked an Army vehicle on Tuesday afternoon in south Kashmir district of Shopian, official sources said.

They told UNI that militants fired at an Army vehicle at Meemender in Shopian at around 1350 hrs.

The security forces retaliated ensuing in a brief exchange of fire, they said, adding no one was injured in the attack.

They said the militants managed to escape from the spot. “Additional security forces were rushed and a search operation was launched in the area to nab the attackers,” they added.
