Srinagar: Chairman of Hurriyat Conference (G), Syed Ali Geelani on Saturday called for an end to the hostility between India and Pakistan.
“The composite dialogue between all stakeholders will definitely make an end to hostility between two nuclear countries and will open avenues for peace and reconciliation in South Asia,” Geelani said in a statement issued here.
Meanwhile, Syed Ali Geelani expressed deep grief over the brutal and merciless killing of an innocent child Umar Farooq in Kupwara.
In a statement, Geelani said, “We are shocked over the death of a budding kid.” He prayed for the grieved family to bear this irreparable loss.
He also expressed grief over the death of Mohd Ismaeel Gilkar, brother-in-law of incarcerated leader Gh Mohammad Khan Sopori.
Extending his condolence to the grieved family, Geelani said that “his contribution for the ongoing freedom movement is praiseworthy and he throughout his life faced hardships because of his affiliation with resistance movement”.
